Address Change
If your owner mailing address changes, notify Oxley Energy. For your protection, we will not accept address changes by telephone. Please submit your change using the appropriate form below or in writing by mail. If you mail your changes to us, you must include your name, date of request, owner number, last four digits of your social security number, phone number and signature.

Name Change
When an individual’s name changes due to marriage, divorce, etc., please furnish Oxley Energy, via email or mail, with:
- A copy of the marriage certificate, divorce decree or other document effecting the name change. (See Deceased Owner section.)
When a company or corporation changes its name or merges, Oxley Energy will require:
- A copy of the Certificate of Name Change or Certificate of Merger.

Sale/Transfer of Your Interest
For a full or partial conveyance of a mineral, royalty, overriding royalty or working interest, please furnish us with a copy of the conveyance document recorded in the county and state where the property is located.

Deceased Owner
Title to real property owned by the deceased party passes either by testate succession (with a probated Last Will and Testament) or by intestate succession (without a Will). In the absence of a Will, or if the Will has not been probated, title to real property passes according to the Laws of Descent and Distribution for the state in which the wells are located, and not the state of residence.
Please provide the following documentation via email or mail:
Testate (probated Will)
- Determination of Heirship, Judgment of Possession, or other probate documents, if appropriate, filed in the state where the wells are located
- Final Decree of Distribution, if appropriate, filed in the state where the wells are located
- Proof that debts and inheritance taxes have been paid
- Recorded deed, if appropriate, to beneficiaries filed in the state where the wells are located
- Record a certified copy of the Will & Probate in the County/Parish where the wells are located OR provide documentation of ancillary probate proceedings in the state where the wells are located if none of the above are available
- Addresses and Social Security/Tax ID numbers on Form W9 for each party inheriting

Trusts
When you create a trust, please provide Oxley Energy with a copy of the Trust Agreement and the recorded conveyance into the Trust. When the Trust is terminated, please provide us with a copy of the Dissolution of Trust or other appropriate recorded conveyance. Please furnish Oxley Energy documents via email or mail.

Other
Guardianships: When an owner is declared incompetent, please provide Oxley Energy with Letters of Guardianship issued by the court.
Minors: When a minor reaches the legal age, please provide Oxley Energy with a copy of the minor’s Birth Certificate.
Termination of Joint Tenancy Upon Death: Please provide Oxley Energy with a copy of the Death Certificate and the social security number of the new owner.
